NOYU

Your membership and free trial

How the free trial works, when the first payment is taken, and how to switch between monthly and yearly, whether you joined in the iPhone app or on the website.

NOYU membership starts with a 14-day free trial, then your monthly or yearly membership begins on its own. If you joined in the iPhone app, Apple bills it through the App Store. If you joined on the NOYU website, it's billed to your card. If you're staying, there's nothing you need to do.

If you joined before memberships began

You keep full access for free for the foreseeable future, and NOYU won't ask you to choose a plan. If that ever changes, we'll give you plenty of notice first. Nothing is ever charged unless you choose a plan and add a payment method yourself.

How the free trial works

You choose monthly or yearly when you start, and the trial is free for 14 days. The paywall shows the date your trial ends and the price before you start.

Two days before your trial ends, NOYU reminds you by email and in Chat. When the trial ends, the first payment is taken and your membership renews each month or year from then on.

You get one free trial. In the iPhone app, Apple gives one per Apple Account. On the website, it's one per NOYU account. If you've had one before, your membership starts straight away.

Seeing your plan and renewal date

Joined in the iPhone app: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose NOYU. Apple sends your receipts by email too.

Joined on the website: on the NOYU website, open Settings, then Membership. Your plan, next payment date and receipts are there.

Switching between monthly and yearly

Switch in the same place you see your plan. Apple, or the website's Membership page, shows when the change takes effect.

If a payment fails

Your access carries on for a while as the payment is tried again. In the iPhone app, update your payment method in your Apple Account settings. On the website, update your card in Settings, Membership.
