Your numbers
Sleep score - how well you slept last night, out of 100. Filed under the day you woke up.
Readiness - how prepared your body looks for the day ahead, out of 100, worked out from last night. The same number as recovery, which is what some other trackers call it.
Strain - how much physical load you have taken on today, out of 100. A measure of how much, not how well, and the only score that changes during the day.
Cardio Load - the heart-rate load from tracked workouts, with harder minutes counting more. NOYU compares the recent seven-day level with your usual level over six weeks.
Baseline - your own normal for a metric, worked out from a rolling 30-day window of your own data. Most daily numbers are compared with this rather than with a population figure.
Biological age - an estimate of how old your body looks on the inside, from blood markers.
Your metrics
HRV - heart rate variability, the variation in time between heartbeats, in milliseconds. Higher generally means better recovered, but the absolute number varies so much between people that only your own trend is meaningful. Unqualified, this always means overnight HRV.
Daily HRV - HRV measured across the whole day rather than overnight. Always labelled as such, because the two are not comparable.
Sleeping heart rate - your average heart rate across last night. Usually a few beats higher than the resting figure your device's own app shows, since an overnight average includes REM.
Resting heart rate - the lowest sustained heart rate your device saw during the day. A different number from the one above.
VO2 max - an estimate of how much oxygen your body can use at maximum effort. Your device's estimate, not NOYU's, and one of the few things scored against people your age rather than your own baseline.
Heart rate zones - bands of intensity from easy to maximum. Time in the harder zones counts for much more in Strain.
Blood oxygen (SpO2) - the share of your blood carrying oxygen. Scored against a population range rather than your own baseline, because healthy overnight saturation sits in a narrow band for everyone.
Things in the app
Chat - your one continuous conversation with NOYU. Your questions and everything NOYU sends share it. You never start a new one.
Memory - the durable facts NOYU knows about you: goals, conditions, preferences, schedules. Things that live nowhere else. Visible and editable on your Profile.
Journal - where you log what your wearable cannot see. Around a hundred built-in items plus your own, kept to a short list you choose.
Insights - what NOYU has noticed in your data, often across sources. Also the surface where you can check directly whether one thing affects another.
Action - something NOYU runs for you on a schedule, either one-off or recurring. Stores an intent rather than fixed text, so it writes something fresh each time it fires.
Update - a short message NOYU sends when something has just happened in your data, such as last night's sleep syncing.
Experiment - a short, bounded test where you change one behaviour and NOYU measures one metric. One at a time.
Result - what arrives when an experiment closes. Your before and during numbers, an honest read and the confounders that applied.
Report - a periodic write-up of what NOYU sees across your health. Posts a card in your chat and keeps its own page.
Search - how you find anything again, covering both past conversation and saved artefacts.
Connection - a link to an outside source: a wearable, your calendar, another app.
Source - where a piece of data came from. When two devices report the same thing, NOYU picks a source per category.
Status - a flag you set for your current condition: Active, Sick, Injured or On a break. It changes how NOYU reads everything else, so suppressed HRV while you are ill is understood as illness rather than a worrying trend.
Profile - what NOYU knows about you: your basics, your goals, your answers and your memories.
Goal - what you are working towards, ranked, up to three. Shapes what NOYU surfaces, but deliberately never changes how your scores are calculated.
