Choose Targets on the nutrition page to use NOYU's recommendation, enter your own numbers, or turn targets off. Recommended targets are calculated when you view them, so they stay aligned with your current profile and goals rather than becoming stale saved numbers.
Recommended
For an adult with a date of birth, sex, height and weight on their profile, NOYU estimates resting energy using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and allows for ordinary daily movement. If you have an active weight goal with a pace you chose, that pace adjusts the recommendation without taking calories below estimated resting energy.
Protein is set at 1.6g per kilogram of body weight, fibre at 30g, and fat at 30% of energy. Carbs use the energy left after protein and fat.
If some profile details are missing, NOYU only shows the targets it can support. For example, weight is enough for a protein target, but not a complete calorie recommendation.
Training days
Adjust for training adds energy from logged workouts to that day's calorie and carb targets. Protein, fat and fibre stay stable. If a workout has no energy estimate, the targets do not change.
The current day uses this training-adjusted target. Longer-range averages use your base target so one workout does not distort the comparison.
Custom or off
Choose Custom to save your own calorie or macro targets. You can set any combination, and training adjustment can still be used.
Choose Off to keep seeing calories and macros without progress targets.
