Supported devices

Which wearables work with NOYU, how they connect and what happens if your device is not listed.

Connect a wearable once and NOYU keeps your health picture up to date in the background. Some devices connect directly, while others share data through Apple Health.

Direct connections

NOYU connects directly to:

  • Garmin - watches and fitness trackers that sync with Garmin Connect
  • Oura - supported Oura Ring generations
  • Ultrahuman - supported rings that sync with Ultrahuman
  • Apple Health - through the NOYU iPhone app

Devices connected through Apple Health

On an iPhone, NOYU can read supported health data written to Apple Health. This means devices and apps such as Apple Watch may flow into NOYU without a separate direct connection.

The exact measurements available depend on what the device records and what it allows Apple Health to share.

What data NOYU uses

NOYU reads the metrics that build a useful picture over time:

  • Sleep - duration, timing, consistency and estimated stages
  • Recovery - heart rate variability, sleeping heart rate and related metrics
  • Activity - steps, active minutes and all-day heart-rate intensity
  • Training - recorded sessions, duration, heart-rate zones and Cardio Load
  • Body measurements - measurements such as weight or VO2 max when available

Different devices measure different things. NOYU uses what your device provides and never marks you down for a measurement it cannot take.

Connecting your device

Open Connections in NOYU and choose your provider. Direct connections use the provider's secure authorisation page, so NOYU never asks for your device password.

Apple Health connections are managed through the NOYU iPhone app, where you choose which health categories to share.

What if my device is not listed?

It may still work through Apple Health. We can also add Fitbit, Withings, Coros, Polar and Suunto on request. Email hello@noyu.health and we will check the best route with you.

What if I do not have a wearable?

You can still use NOYU, log meals, add journal entries and share context in the conversation. A wearable makes the picture more continuous, and you can connect one whenever you get there.
